LavaTM Liquid Embolic System For Neurovasculature Embolization

LavaTM Liquid Embolic System For Neurovasculature Embolization is a medical device used to block or occlude blood vessels. It consists of one 1.5ml vial of DMSO, three syringes, and one 1.5ml vial of liquid embolic agent. A catheter is inserted into a blood vessel. A syringe is used to deliver a liquid embolic agent into the blood vessel. Then the liquid embolic solidifies to block the blood vessel and preventing further blood flow through the vessel.

Features&Advantages

1. Lava uses non-adhesive material with low injection resistance. Extubation is easier and safer.

2. As domestic unique low-viscosity formula and the most complete viscosity models, Lava-12, Lava-18 and Lava-34, low, medium and high three viscosity can meet various clinical needs.

3. Excellent penetration and fluidness can penetrate into the lesion deeply to reach tiny blood vessels at the distal end. So it has strong maneuverability make a safer surgery.

4. The micronized Tantalum powder provides excellent visibility.

Experiment Group for NeuroSafe

The 41 enrolled subjects (24 in the experimental group and 17 in the control group) were all successfully embolized and withdrawn from the catheter, and the embolization success rate was 100% used LavaTM liquid embolic system.

Successful embolization was defined as successful embolization of the targeted embolization area, that is, after this embolization operation, DSA confirmed that one or more of the risk factors for spontaneous bleeding in bAVMs planned for this surgery had been resolved (perforating arterial supply, malformation-related aneurysms and infratentorial, deep, small, high-flow arteriovenous fistulas, and single draining veins, deep venous drainage, stenosis of draining veins, tortuous dilatation of draining veins, etc.).
